 Welcome to Bockleton!

Bockleton Study Centre is run by Birmingham City Council and provides outdoor and environmental activities for groups.  In addition to Birmingham education establishments, we welcome enquiries from non-Birmingham schools, youth groups and other organisations seeking a residential/camping experience in the holidays or at weekends.

Bockleton is a Grade 2 listed Victorian Mansion set in 32 magnificent acres of lawn and woodland.  It is positioned in an isolated and rural location, on the edge of Worcestershire, Shropshire and Herefordshire, 5 miles from Tenbury Wells, the nearest town.  An enviable position!  It offers groups a unique opportunity to live in a grand and historic building, still with many of its original features.

The centre has 50+ years of experience of delivering safe, high quality outdoor experiences.  With its wonderful facilities, Bockleton can offer a wide range of land-based activities throughout the year.  We have a very experienced and committed team of outdoor enthusiasts that hold a range of qualifications to ensure that your stay with us is an informative and memorable one.
