Kit List

You should do your best to bring the following.

The centre has wellies and waterproof coats to borrow if you need to.

Any medication you need must be labelled and given to the teacher in charge.

All your belongings should be packed in a bag/holdall or suitcase that is no bigger than 30cm height x 50cm width.  You will have to be able to carry (not pull) your bag up a lot of stairs.

Plenty of changes (at least 5 of everything) of OLD clothes (named) that you don’t mind getting dirty.

Warm jumpers, a winter coat, hats, scarves and gloves for the colder months – October to April.

Sun hat, sun cream for the summer months.

A water bottle (not glass).

A waterproof coat if you have one. (If you haven’t got one don’t worry, we have plenty) This is necessary all year round!

Clean indoor shoes or slippers e.g. pumps, flip flops, etc (Slipper socks are not acceptable), outdoor shoes/trainers or walking boots, and wellies if you have them. Do not buy new stuff, especially wellies, we have loads!

Several plastic carrier bags for dirty clothes or shoes.

A towel and wash kit, toothbrush, toothpaste etc.

Suitable night wear and enough underwear for the week (trainer socks make your feet sore).

Any money (not exceeding the limit set by the teacher in charge) should be in a labelled purse or wallet and preferably given to the teacher in charge.

You must not bring the following:

Mobile telephones.

Any sweets or food as these encourage mice in the dormitories.

Electric equipment of any kind – this has a habit of going missing or getting broken – there won’t be time to use it anyway!

Aerosol body spray or deodorant – these set off our fire alarms – buy roll on!

Knives or other weapons (even if toys) for obvious reasons.

Please remember to name/label clothing and footwear before you come.
